Our Drink of the Week is the Alejandro el Magnifico, or the Brandy Alexander Revisited.
The Alexander #2, as it was originally known, was likely born at Rector’s, New York’s premier pre-Prohibition lobster palace, by bartender Troy Alexander, who created his eponymous concoction for a dinner celebrating Phoebe Snow, of Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad fame.
It was first documented in Hugo Ensslin’s 1916 Recipes for Mixed Drinks. Enjoy this cocktail all night long, cheers!

Preparation
- Pour all ingredients over shaved or crushed ice in a mixing glass.
- Shake and strain into a cocktail glass rimmed with white chocolate.
- Grate fresh nutmeg on top…additional white chocolate shavings optional.
